1935 It came time that all the promoters in South and Central America had moved together in one room to consult with each other. Josh Vincent was one of the innovaters of Latino Wrestling and very well brought it to Latin America. He was held very high at this meeting. It was obvious what was on the minds of all men. The war effort had cost many of these federations much to even stay open, most of them were bankrupt and couldn't continue on. The general idea was to create a monopoly in making one promotion for all of Central and South America. This idea had baffled everyone. It was known that only Josh Vincent had the promotional powers to make this work during the war. When they added up all the wrestlers, they had counted 250. This was well too much for one promotion to have. It was decided that all of Latin America would be split into territories for each federation. There would be only one federation in every country. The promotion owners were happy with this as they were quick to make deals with their fellow promotion owners. Josh Vincent and the owner's of IWA were quick to make a joint deal. The two companies became one under LWO. All the former LWO superstars in IWA had gone to war. Many of the remaining were Japanese afraid of their fearless leader's wrath. When Josh Vincent went on the air to announce that many of the IWA's wrestlers would be in attendance of LWO, ticket sales suddenly spiked. It seemed that IWA could put on a show that entertained the fans in attendance, while LWO could put on a show that'd entertain the fans at home. This was the perfect combination between the two, a federation that has the power to make fans come to shows and cheer. While having a federation that had the ability to entertain millions of people listening at home. The wrestlers were happy to work with each other with the flagment roster of 14. LWO championships were mixed in with some IWA ones, which were labeled as LWO ones later on. The two IWA championships were the IWA Collegiate title and the IWA Core title. Feuds sprong for these titles as the fans of IWA knew what value and recognition they held with one and another. LWO had now conquered all of Mexican wrestling. At one time the King and Queen of England had actually fled to Mexico from the war. His royal highness watched a wrestling match and was very impressed with what he saw. He congratulated Josh Vincent on running a great show and professed his interest in having wrestling over in England. His highness would leave the next day, but it was a great day for LWO as it met the King's approval. |
