1920 In 1920, Josh Vincent took a substantial loan from the bank of Mexico.
With this money Vincent bought a ring and the contracts of four men: This was the beginning of what would become a dynasty to wrestling. Josh Vincent had chose to entertain the Mexico City area, which no other promoter had set foot in before. The people of Mexico were diehard for action and wrestling. Sales started off slow but slowly gained. Hector Garcia reigned as LWO Latino Champion for 3 straight years while Waldo, Hetero, and Dragon Claw attempted to take the title from him. At this point people were into wrestling so much that LWO stopped wrestling in high school gymnasiums and looked for larger venues. The hundreds of Latin fans would come from all over Mexico to watch their hero Hector Garcia defend his title honorably against the Troika, composed of Waldo Gurrero, Hetero Montoya, and Dragon Claw #2. Finally after years of a long reign, Hector was forced to fight a handicap match against Waldo Gurrero and Dragon Claw #2. Waldo Gurrero became the new Latino Champion. And people hate him for it. Waldo became the biggest heel in the history of LWO. He also innovated the ways wrestlers act today. He was widely known to play with the fans. Hector Garcia now had to fight to get the LWO Latino Championship back. Hector Garcia spent rounds weekly against Dragon Claw #2 and Waldo Gurrero moving up back in the ranks until he received the number one contendership spot. Waldo would sit back and laugh at Hector in his attempts to rise to the top again. Hector Garcia would receive his title shot 9 months later. Hector Garcia at this time was very worn out. Waldo took total dominance of the match. Hector at the end fought back and was ready to hit his signature move, the Bionic Elbow. The referee was distracted by Montoya though who tried to explain that the elbow was indeed evil. While Montoya was distracting the official Dragon Claw #2 entered the ring and hit his round house kick on Hector Garcia. The fans immediately errupted into a full scale riot. Dragon Claw #2 and Montoya ran away from the avid fans. Due to the riot Hector not only lost but was also thrown to the bottom of the ranks again. By this time Josh Vincent was making large quantities of money off of this small scale promotion, which was slowly becoming a national pride. Josh decided it was time to mix it up a bit. Josh bought the services of Abiter Doragon. Abiter Doragon was a man who stood for what was rightcheous, and not what was said to be rightcheous. He acted as if he was the law. With this he and Hector joined forces to fight the Troika. Abiter Doragon and Hector Garcia were remembered only as the Golden Ones. they fought together in many tag team matches against Dragon Claw #2 and Hetereo Montoya. By the end it was Abiter Doragon, and not Hector Garcia, who received the title shot. Hector stayed loyal to Abiter Doragon even with this. Abiter Doragon took on Waldo Gurrero for the Latino championship. Both men had a man in each other's corner. When Dragon Claw #2, tried to illegally knock out Doragon, Hector entered the ring and smashed Dragon Claw with the Bionic elbow. The crowds elevated like nothing else. Doragon had become the Latino champion. A new era would arise, one where a clash of cultures would begin. |
